A PhD on the Road (Brasil)

Like a good Nomad, i felt like stopping to be with my tribe for a while. Giro and family are coming to meet me with a good surprise. My own Family. Because for them it has to be this week, my travel in Brasil is going to be North - South, from Pernanbuco to Paraná, instead of South - North how i had planned. Sailing with the wind, chasing the soul of the brazilian nomad, The PEÃO, through the million Geotechnical friends i have there . Doris e Roberto Coutinho, Fernando Schnaid e Karen, Eduardo Marques, Alexander Kormann, Luis Antoniutti, Giachetti, Erinaldo Cavalcante, Roberto Saygão e Ana Laura (amazing how she reminds Cristiane Torloni), Nilo Consoli, Edgar Odebrecht, António Penna, Jucélia Bedin, Erivaldo Minette and so many others. I hope i meet as many as i can, because they all make you smile all the time. After the rigourous planning of China i think it´s time for that brazilian cool spirit and the capacity of improvising that make them (for me) the best engineers of the entire World

And i really need a brain rest after finishing the task of analyzing data and before i pursue some answers that arise from the main experience. I´m truly happy because now i know that the experience is beyond the initailly expected. I really squeezed my brain until the last drop. I invite you to take a look to the main results, along with Brain Damage (Pink Floyd) which goes well with the state of mind.

Como um bom nomada, preciso de parar para descansar e conviver com a minha tribo. O meu amigo Giro, respectiva mulher & filhos vieram ter comigo com uma fantástica surpresa. A minha própria familia. E assim alterei o meu percurso de Norte para Sul (De Pernanbuco ao Paraná) em vez do Sul para Norte que tinha planeado. Movendo-me ao sabor da maré, perseguindo a história do nómada brasileiro, O Peão, através do convivio com esse montão de gente que eu tenho o prazer de conhecer aqui. Doris e Roberto Coutinho, Fernando Schnaid e Karen, Eduardo Marques, Alexander Kormann, Luisis Antoniutti, Giachetti, Erinaldo Cavalcante, Roberto Saygão e Ana Laura (amazing how she reminds Cristiane Torloni), Nilo Consoli, Edgar Odebrecht, António Penna, Jucélia Bedin, Erivaldo Minettee tantos outros. Espero encontrar-me com tantos quanto possível, porque deixam-me sempre de bem com a vida. E depois do planeamento rigoroso do doutoramento que condiz com a China, parece-me que preciso mesmo desse jeitinho brasileiro e capacidade de imrpoviso que faz deles (para mim) os melhores engenheiros do mundo...depois dos Castores.

Estou contente porque espremi o meu cérebro até à última gota e a experiência mostra indelevelmente que ultrapassa as expectativas inicialmente geradas. Convido-vos a darem uma espreitadela aos resultados, navegando ao sabor de Brain Damage (Pink Floyd) que vai muito bem com a forma como me sinto. Lunático.
