A Spot of Light in a Dark Horizon - Epilogue

Granja, my sweet home

One week after my depart i was back with the sense of a duty acomplished (the paper i had presented was well recognized, which was proved a few days later when i received an invitation to publish an elarged version in a american international journal) and the heart filled with another beautiful scenary. Quick but truly worthy.

Quietly seated in my balcony, while looking at the infinite horizon, i couldn´t help myself of thinking how happy i can be, because i´m still Free Mind man full of Serenety and Joy, with no chains or anguishes. no matter the price i have to pay for that.

Feel my home heart with this little "promenade" around my place (Granja and Aguda) as an extension of the australian nature i have just met, again with the sound of Eddie Vedder (Guaranteed). I want to dedicate this little moment to my partner in this trip, a deep friend i´m proud of, who really appreciate this little world of mine. CARLOS RODRIGUES

Uma semana depois de ter partido eis-me de volta com o sentido do dever cumprido (artigo apresentado e bem apreciado, conforme tive oportunidade de confirmar uns dias mais tarde quando recebi um convite para publicar uma versão alargada do mesmo numa revista geotécnica americana) e o coração cheiinho de mais uma belissima natureza.

Sentado pacificamente na minha varanda, olhando o horizonte infinito que sempre me motiva a vida, não pude deixar de pensar quão feliz eu sou por após todos os anos que levo em cima do pêlo, me manter um homem Livre, Sereno e Alegre sem grandes grilhetas ou angústias, indiferente ao preço que posso ter de pagar por isso.

Sintam esse meu sentimento com este pequeno passeio pelo meu lugarejo (Granja e Aguda)quase como se fosse uma extensão da natureza australiana de onde acabo de chegar. Outra vez com a musica de Eddie Vedder (Guaranteed. É bom estar de volta.

Dedico este momento ao meu parceiro de viagem, amigo dos sete costados e apreciador profundo deste meu pequeno mundo. CARLOS RODRIGUES.
